COVID-19 situation

Dear WCCI 2020 Delegates:

Greetings from the WCCI Secretariat in San Diego, California.

On behalf of the WCCI Board, I am writing regarding the worsening COVID-19 situation in many countries, including the United States. The Board members have unanimously agreed that it is advisable to postpone the Conference on November 1-6, 2020. The current and uncertain situation of COVID-19 becoming a global pandemic has regrettably prompted this decision. Apart from the potential problems of travel and gaining visas and even institutional or national approval to attend the Conference, Board members feel the health and safety of delegates need to be given utmost priority.

Due to this postponement, please note the following deadlines:

June 30, 2020 – new proposals for presentation
September 30, 2020 – Submission of completed paper for the proceedings:
Early Bird Registration – postmarked July 1, 2020
Standard Registration – postmarked September 1, 2020
No On-site registration is accepted.

For those of you who have already paid their Registration, thank you.

Please note that Nov 1st is the first day which includes arrival, registration and the welcome evening reception for delegates. The formal plenary and concurrent sessions of papers or workshops begin on Nov 2nd and continue on Nov 5th, and 6th, while the free day for personal touring is on Nov 4th.

Thank you for your patience and kind understanding of this postponement.

We look forward to welcoming you to the 50th Anniversary Conference of WCCI in San Diego in November 2, 2020.

We would also greatly appreciate it if you may be able to help inform your colleagues and educational networks of these new dates for the Conference and the submission of new proposals.

If you have any further queries about this announcement, please do not hesitate to write to me at the WCCI Secretariat.

Best regards.
